Hi you corporate, open your doors for startups!
Corporates faced with an innovation challenge can now join the Amsterdam Launchpad Week. During so-called ‘Launchpad Meetups’, selected startups present their solutions to corporates’ challenges.
Amsterdam Launchpad Week
During the Amsterdam Launchpad Week 2016 on May 24rd - 25th, corporates can host Launchpad Meetups to discuss challenges with innovate startups.Launchpad Meetups are a concept designed by StartupAmsterdam to connect corporates and startups. After the success of the 2015 editions with the likes of EY, KLM, TomTom, Dell, Achmea, Philips and USG, the Launchpad Meetup concept is now ready to be scaled. Join Amsterdam Launchpad Week and become one of the 100 corporates who open their doors to the most promising startups! Amsterdam Launchpad Week will be held prior to The Next Web conference, a technology conference attracting over 20.000 people to Amsterdam. The Next Web is partner in the Amsterdam Launchpad Week.
What is a Launchpad Meetup?
A corporate may organise a Launchpad Meetup in order to receive input from three young, innovative companies (startups) specifically matched with the corporate’s (future) challenge. The partners behind Launchpad Week provide guidance to ensure a successful Meetup. Erik Visser, Business Developer at Oracle Benelux, a former Launchpad Meetup participant reflects: “We organised a Launchpad Meetup because we were looking for interesting startups specialising in Big Data in Retail from a business development perspective. We are happy with the outcome and are currently exploring the best collaboration options together with startup 904labs.” Another example is Launchpad Meetup partner EY’s collaboration with Declaree. The goal of a Meetup is to inspire the challenge holder and his/her colleagues, as well as to open the door for future collaboration with startups.
Why should a corporate join?
A Launchpad Meetup offers an efficient and easy opportunity for corporates to get in touch with promising startups which could prove highly relevant to the company. A Meetup allows for an intimate setting, as opposed to large scale pitch events themed around a set. A Launchpad Meetup enables tailor-made input for the corporate. In this way, foundations for (future) partnerhips are laid, the corporate is promoted in the startup community and, in doing so, connects the company’s brand image to innovation.
